DAY 1 You will be picked up from your hotel between 8:00 am to 8:30 am. Once everybody who joins the tour has been collected we will depart straight to Okahandja heading
north. Within an hour’s drive we will have our major stop to stock up on fresh produce and a visit to the community craft market. Having completed our mission, we will continue to drive further north passing through the small towns of Otjiwarongo and Outjo before arriving to the famous Etosha National park at Okaukuejo. Time permitting we will check in with reception and embark on our quick introduction game drive. As our time is limited we will retreat to the campsite before sunset. You will have time to catch your sunset with a spectacular view over the waterhole. After dinner you can return to the floodlight waterhole, which is world famous for good animal spotting in summer. We call it night for the day.
DAY2 As our main focus of this safari is wildlife encounter, an early wake up is essential. After packing up camp and cold breakfast we will head back into the park visiting numerous water holes hoping to see exciting sightings of wildlife interactions. We plan to arrive in time for lunch at Halali, which is the middle camp in the Etosha National Park. Upon arrival we pitch camp and there will be plenty of time for swim or visit to the waterhole. After our siesta when the temperature has cool down we head back into the park for our afternoon game drive. With the park rules to be back in the camp before sunset we arrive just in time a sunset at the moringa waterhole at the camp. After dinner there are always possibilities for sightings at the waterhole in the summer you are most welcome to explore the possibilities. Nothing is guaranteed as everything depends on Mother Nature.
DAY 3 Our journey for today takes us to the eastern corner of the park namely Namutoni camp. Same as the previous day early wake up is necessary as the animals tend to be more active in the mornings and late afternoons when the temperatures are favorable. Passing through numerous waterholes we aim to arrive at the camp in good time for lunch. Pitching camp there will be enough time to relax before we take our afternoon drive into the park. The vegetation zones differ in the different areas of the park thus attracting different spices of animals the particular area. So our focus will be to look for damara dik-dik, the smallest antelope in Namibia. After our game drive we come back to the camp. Today is our last night of the safari and we plan to visit around the campfire for stories and sharing life experience to enrich
each other’s life.
DAY 4 We have a long journey coming back to Windhoek. Early in the morning we pack up camp and immediately after breakfast take the road towards Windhoek. On our journey we will pass through several small towns stopping in some of them for comfort stop stretching out etc. Our aim is to arrive 5:30-6h30 pm. You will be dropped off at your hotel. Please note, those of you who have pre-booked and prearranged with Meerkat Safaris for your airport shuttle will be transferred to the airport at the appointed date and time. Make sure you check for detail with your guide before the drop off.
